well, since this has opened up to non-road signs....
i always got a kick out of the mcdonalds cups and waste baskets where they said "please put litter in its place." well, wouldnt that be on the ground?!?!? if you put it in a trash can its not litter, its trash! silly me!

On the way to Montreal from Ottawa there are signs above fire hydrants with a little picture of a fire hydrant. But on the same pole as one of them is a picture of a dog with a line through it. Maybe it's for sanitary reasons?
