Lost screw on cleat

Is it okay to ride with one screw on the SPD cleat until I can get a new one?

The LBS I stopped at said the multidirectional cleat I purchased would work with my pedals, but the instructions with the pedals said not to use the model number sold to me by the LBS. I don't want to take a screw out of the package, as they might not refund my money.

Thanks.

Why not just stop at any hardware store and buy some extra screws? That's were I've always bought mine. I always keep a few extras in my pack.
