I am looking for insights and ideas for buying or making a 'dashboard' for my touring/road bike. Not one of those little t-bars to clamp a headlight and stuff to, but something with a decent sized flat, hard surface. I want to be able to put some Velcro strips on it for mounting such stuff as a GPS, small powered speakers, MP3 player (or maybe satellite radio, woohoo!) for long isolated rides. It should be something that can easily be mounted and removed for when I don't need it. I have some ideas for a 'roll yer own', but am open to others or something off the shelf. TIA for the help....
