I saw this painted on a bike on a Surly cross-check on a rack outside a restaurant a couple of weeks ago. Cracked me up! I thought; "Now that's a statement bike there!"

I think you are just inviting vandalism and very bad verbal reactions by putting an obsenity on your bike!

Maybe I am just too old?
And why needlessly offend people? Even though I believe people choose to be offended and words are just words. Still there are some words you probably should not use in public.
Before placing such a sticker on your bike, you may want to check your local laws.

You need to crack open that civics book. Your freedom of speech is not absolute. There are lots of examples but here are just a few.
You can shout "This is a great movie" in a movie theater but yell "Fire" and see what happens. No matter what you yell, if you do it often enough then you will be asked to leave. You have freedom of speech but that doesn't mean someone else has to provide the forum to exercise your right.
If you tried mounting a speaker on your home and broadcast religion (or anything else for that matter), you would be fined or arrested.
Running down the street naked could be a form of freedom of speech but most people find this offensive (and maybe repulsive ) so is against the law in most communities.
Your rights stop when they start intruding on the rights of others. Such a sticker could be considered intrusive. Many communities have laws against using profanity or displaying in public, I 'm not saying I agree with it it's just the facts.
And displaying such a sticker is VERY immature not just a bit.

For example, my little brother got a $10k settlement from the city of cincinatti after he got arrested for telling some other protesters to "ignore this ****ing policeman"

I never said profanity laws were constitutional or not but there have been plenty of other cases where people weren't so "lucky" as your brother. I would hope such laws were judged unconstitutional Frankly if you want to walk down the street naked you should be allowed to that too. Like I said before no one offends you you choose to be offended by them. Your brother was lucky enough to have a good attorney and most likely a liberal judge. I don't agree with such profanity laws but the fact is they are out there. It's not worth a court battle for something as childish as a sticker with a swear word. Those battles should be reserved for more important issues. Recent ruling regarding eminent domain laws are just one of them that I can think of.
As for your brother, he should have been thrown in jail. Not for using profanity in public but for ignoring the authority of a police officer. And it's not blindly following the orders of a police officer. If the police officer was wrong then that is up for the courts to decide. A court of law can't be held on the street with you little brother as judge. You don't give much details but if they arrested him for swearing then that was pretty stupid on the officers part. So if that's the reason than good for him.
God Bless America because in many countries, had your brother used that kind of language to a police officer, he would either be dead or sitting in a jail cell.

That sticker amuses me and I want one, but I want it to be just the right size to wrap around my seat tube and hide the scar left by the front derailer clamp. It would be less "in your face" that way. Maybe I can get Mike Swantak of Velographics to make me one. He's not as humorless as some people here.

And you're making a lot of assumptions about what "should have" happened to him without knowing the first thing about the situation (or I would say again, constitutional law).
I'm out.
