Bar tape for the K-wing

Anyone have advice, anecdotes or recommendations on how to wrap the FSA K-wing?

Just ordered one and it'll be here in a week or so and I want to be ready to get it installed as soon as it arrives.

Most leave the top unwrapped, and wrap from the bend down. Try some Fizik bar tape, feels niceeee

Bikes: Yes. The more the better.

Mine is wrapped just a little bit higher up than the one in this photo:

Wrap the whole thing just like non-wing round bars.

I left my Windwood top portion un-wrapped also. It wasn't a problem when wearing gloves, but without them they are slippery. I taped the upper portion with tennis racket over tape. So far it seems OK

I did mine this way. So far the only problem I've had is transitioning from gripping with my hands to leaning on my forearms. If there is a bit of sweat, moving to the forearm position feels a bit unstable. That might be solved by taping the full bar. On the other hand, I don't ride that way very often, and I love the look of unwrapped Kwings.

I wrapped mine almost like a regular handlebar. I used the Fizik tape with the gel pads. It works very nice. Because of the pads thickness and the size of the tops the tape only reach about 2/3 through the top which is fine as it covers all hand positions. I don't care about others seeing I have a k-wing so I would not take the risk of having a slippery bar top without tape and the cushion of the tape/gels is appreciated on long rides. These bars are really nice. I just wish that had a wider round central section for computer or aerobars mounting.
