Where can you download a cycling log book?
I keep a log on every ride I take. It can be a great training tool. Lance does it! My log is just a yellow legal pad. On it, I record date, route taken (I have 4 or 5 favorite routes), temperature, total miles, average speed, elapsed time, estimated calories burned (I estimate 40 calories per mile), current body weight, and unusual happenings (flat, crash, etc.). Is there a comprehensive log I can download to get better organized? Or, maybe I should set up my own personalized log sheets on my computer. Maybe with Microsoft Excel? Is there any software available for this? I don't know enough about Excel to determine if it would allow me to sort my entries by, for example, average speed in descending order. It would be interesting to take all my posts for a given route by average speed. Then I could see how I'm progressing. Then perhaps I could put the numbers into a visual graph. Also, I'm interested in my weight fluctuations. My current yellow pad log goes back two years, and over that time, my weight range is 170-198 pounds. Currently, I'm at 179, but this will definitely go up during the Christmas season, unless I put in 200 miles a day! Do you keep a log? How have you set it up?

You'll have to register, then go to the "training log" tab and click the "home" link (not the "home" tab) then scroll down and there is a downloadable excel journal. I've created my own excel ss and don't use the one available from prolog, but it might be worth a look.
The sight itself offers most of the functions you mention you use, so maybe just log your stats on site.

I highly reccomend Bikeprolog.com too. Bikeprolog has several cool graphs so you can see how you're doing time/distance wise, and you can also see how you rank among all the cyclists registered, which gets a little competition going.

I wrote an excellent training log which is now in its 4th year. Each year it get's better and better with feedback from users (many of whom are in this forum). Ping me with any questions.
