Good locks?

I just moved to the city and would like to ride my bike to work. Can anybody recommend a good, secure lock within reasonable price range???

Thanks!

What is the value of your bike and how prevalent is bike theft where you live?

Do a search on locks. This has been covered in depth many times.

In short, Onguard and Kryptonite make good ulocks.

Best solution = dont let the bike out of your sight. 2nd best - Lock bike within sight of security guard and ask him to keep an eye on it. Use several locks of different types since they will require different tools to break. To save on weight while riding, leave some of the locks at the places where you lock it.

That should be last on your list.

Kryptonite Molly + a u-lock or a mini-u up front.

The security guard is not a substitute for a good lock!!! Get a big chain or u-lock. Pretty much any heavy duty lock by Onguard and Kryptonite will work well.
