2003 Team Jersey Complete
Hey gang-
The 2003 race/riding season is quickly approaching and we are looking for riders from all over to ride with us. If you have been trying to gain individual sponsorships from companies but are failing to receive and positive outcome, it is mainly do to the fact that companies extend their efforts to help out teams first. Team MTBMind.com has managed to obtain 9 sponsors for 2003; 661/Gaerne (formally AXO), Cambria Bicycle Outfitters, fi'zi:k, Magura, Marzocchi, Titec USA, Pedro's, Total Sport Nutrition, Spinergy, and Zeal Optics, which are giving us between 10-65% off their products.
Basically the way it works is you buy and wear our jersey at races, training/fun rides, and events, and you will receive sponsor benefits while supporting a great team of riders from around the country. This is a short-sleeved style jersey which has a club fit rather than a race fit, since not everyone is in super perfect shape. Jersey design is shown below (click for larger image).
If you like to ride and want to receive some sweet deals this year while being a part of a family of riders, then you are more than welcome. Pre-Order your jersey before the January 20th deadline .
Thank you,
Team MTBMind.com

Shouldn't this thread be in the "Hot Deals" or "Shameless Promotions" forums? That's where your supposed to advertise on this site. Do the sponsors know that you are doling out discounts to anyone that will simply buy one of your jerseys?

Of course the sponsors know... how do you think we got them in the first place? They want people to wear their logo. It's all about promotion.

Excuse me? If you know anything about designing jerseys, then you know that it is not cheap to print them. If you want to get technical, we are covering the initial deposit out of our pocket. The cost we are charging people is the cost we pay. No money is being made on this, trust me.
Furthermore, we started this team for everyone to join (all abilities from all locations). Us offering people sponsor benefits is just a bonus.

Yo
niterider- this is a rough crowd, you will have to convince better. I looked at the website, and it looks like a good idea, but every time it mentioned the savings a rider will get by wearing one of the jerseys it also said you had to join first to find out how much savings. That makes me a little nervous. Also you will find that the majority of us here are LBS supporters.

You’re using this thread to promote and gain more exposure your website. Nothing wrong with that except it should be done in the appropriate place

Unless you are ordering very low quantities, jerseys don't cost $65 each. Also, from the title it looks like it is for BikeForums.com team jersey.
So, while it's cool to start something up I agree with others that this should be in another part of the message board.
