Bikes: currently rebuilding a bianchi after I got my wheels stolen off of my no-name bike.

techniques/processes

hey all,

I am designing a new bike for my metals class, and I thought it would be beneficial to describe how the parts are made and what they are made out of as well. I'm really into building bikes, but I don't know much about the factory end of it, and I'm interested to find out. And so, this is where I need help. The bike I am designing is pretty standard, there is not too much about it that would have be manufactured differently than most bikes, except for the gears. So, basically, can anyone explain to me the techniques used to make a bicycle?

Thanks so much for your help!
