In the Wrong?

Rarely have I ever gotten miffed at other cyclists when out on a ride or whenever, but I did on saturday. I was out on my ride, there is this 8 mile loop through a forest perserve near me. Another cyclist catches up to me and we proceed take turns pulling. After one loop of exchanging taking turns he pulls up on the side and said he's done he has a race tomorrow. Fine and dandy with me. So I pull ahead and gained some distance on him. What happens next is what made me miffed. He catches back up to me and hangs on my wheel for the next 1 and 1/2 laps. I kept looking back and wanted to say something but didnt. Granted it made me work a bit harder but at the same time I wanted to stop say something or let him pass. The question I have for everybody and everyone....was I in the wrong to get mad?

If it`s happening to me i should try to blow the guy away, and if he`s faster and won`t take over (i think i`ll go mad too), hit the brakes and go for a picnic!!!
