Dnvr, I only just picked up this message now (20h47 GMT-8) and I checked the chat room and I didn't see anything happening. I like what you are trying to do to get people into the chat room, but maybe most notice is in order?

What type of notice are you looking for Spire? This has been brought up in the past, I am looking for a new IRC server i can host a whos online bot. Another thing we have talked about is schedual a set time for chat, 3 or 4 times a day...

If you check Dnvr's message, it is time stamped one hour and four minutes before the scheduled chat session. I think the response might be better.

A schedule would also be a novel idea. Perhaps one time each day that is tailed to a seperate time zone. One for the West, East, Europe, and Australia. I'm not sure whether during work hours or evening is better though.

I don't know about the time stamp???, but the time I put in the notice was the time we were there. There were five of us who got together to chat - Sailguy, Samdebikinman, me, Phoun, and one other I forget.

When I put the notice out, it means I will be in the chat room right then, and I indicated 7:25 MST, which was when I went into the chat room. We were there about 40 minutes.

Joe, perhaps you could have some sort of a box we could check that would flash a message on the main screen or wherever that "Chatters are in chat room now" and would flash for about 15-30 minutes and then cancel.

Also, can't we have both?? Scheduled and non-scheduled? I generally have a limited time available, and if I see a lot of folks on the net and have time, I just post a notice right then.

Spire, if you wanted to chat, why didn't you just post an update or another notice?
