Earthquake Ride

I am leading a ride across Santa Rosa, California along the route of the Rogers Creek Fault. It has been designated by the USGS as most likely to have a major quake in the near future. BFers are invited. Natural seismic features will be pointed out and consequences for humans will be discussed. Seventeen slow paced miles featuring a winery, a sticky bun shop, and a whole series of human fiobles. There are two short, steep hills. To get to the start from the south take the BiCentennial Exit from the 101 freeway, turn right at the third light into the Albertsons parking lot. We will assemble at 9:00 AM at the north end of the lot on July 22nd. PM me if coming from the north or other directions. Hot dry weather is almost certain so bring water.

Now that would be a fun ride(unless a major quake hits then maybe not so fun) to bad i live in ohio so i think the commute there would be a killer

So many fun sounding rides posted around the forums here latly and not a single one is any where near me :\

I wish I could go, but I'm stuck here in Colorado.
I'd love to see the Rogers Creek Fault. I've done some work on some faults around here.
Anyone want to come here and ride along the Redlands Fault?

Love to someday. Nearest ride I've done to your area was Naturita to Nucla and back one evening then north along the San Miguel River gorge one AM 'til my partner caught up to me in the truck. We had been doing consulting in a uranium mine that week. Spent many years in Golden, west of Denver. Some people live by the Golden rule, at out school there we would say we lived by the Golden Fault.
