I bought this pump, as I feel CO2 alone is too risky. I ride alone alot and wanted something that wouldn't run out of air.

The road morph is easy to use and plenty fast. I can get to 120PSI without any more effort than my floor pump at home. Sure it is slower than CO2 but I can still inflate my tired from flat in under a minute. I have many times used it to top off my PSI before a ride rather than going back to the garage for the floor pump.

I'm not very smart but it seems to me that a co2 cartridge is only capable of a certain psi. So using a frame pump first would seem backwards. Personally I just use a 16 g co2 cartridge and that takes my road tire to around 100 psi, which is plenty good to complete a ride.

The same cartridge will take a mtb tire to around 30 lbs, which may or may not be enough. If it isn't you can always throw in a couple more pumps from the frame pump.
