Bicycle chain bracelet

Sure... I can't be the first person to do this or anything, but I thought it would be neat, I even got the whole master link thing going on. The chains also got some nice rust going on and stains/dirties my wrist nicely!

On a side not, chain rivet extractors from canadian tire suck (I believe the supercycle brand), check the background as you can see I broke it first go.. Or maybe it would work fine on a modern chain, but this one is '60s vintage. I gotta find an old chain tool from the time things were built to last! I had to go about the brute force approach of breaking the rivet.. hammer nails/small screwdriver, plyers.. whatever else, it sure took a while.

Wippermann makes a nickel bicycle bracelet. It's a smaller gauge than a typical bicycle chain.

My nephew sent me one but since I work with a lot of water, I can't use it.

I made one, but I didnt have enough chain to make a big enough one. Now that I have more old chain, I will make a real one.

I have an old bike chain segment on my keys. Only problem with bike chain jewelry is that you have your pick of rusty or oily. Neither option seems very nice.

Chains can be cleaned and electroplated with a variety of metals. As long as the plating is not too thick the links can be manually loosened after plating. Use a chain tool and put them on your punk rock and Goth friends.
