Two cups of water in your body weigh a pound, two cups lost through cycling - one lost pound.
Typically, you burn about 35-50 calories per mile biked. You need to bike about 100 miles to lose a pound (3500 calories per pound), assuming you do not eat more because of your bicycling.
On a long ride, I might lose 2-3 pounds of water, recovering the weight the next day or so.
