Wow, you all put my bikes to shame...

Still, I love them, and I can't help but thinking that cycling is the best thing that ever happened to me.

2005 Mercier Galaxy - Touring and training
2006 Trek 820 - Winter beater/trail-riding companion.
2006 Bianchi Bergamo - Daily Commuter

I'm looking into getting into racing in the spring, and was thinking of a Bianchi 928 Carbon Ultegra. Any opinions on this?

2006 Specialized Rockhopper with a surly instigator rigid fork, nitto albatross bars, a Brooks B67 or a B-17 depending on my mood (I have until February to pick which one I like best), specialized hemisphere 1.95" semi-slicks for the road and a WTB motoraptor 2.4" in the front/Panaracer fire xc 2.1" in the rear for the dirt.

I should be adding another hardtail (this time with suspension) to my stable soon...I hope.

I've got 4 currently. they ebb and flow out of my living room. had 7 bikes in the spring.

a "heavy tourer" Long Haul Trucker(2 front racks, 5 bottle cages). a "light tourer" Trek 520(mini front rando rack, 3 bottle cages). a fifties schwinn lightweight World, and a sixties schwinn Corvette.

I want to build up a light road bike again but the 520 is good enough for me. its a "Do everything" type of bike. mine loves rough gravel roads and non technical trails.

I have many bikes. I usually buy them and keep them. Have been doing that for years, so most are either classic or vintage. They include;
Rock Lobster #13, Rock Lobster Cross bike, Colnago, 2 Gitanes, Clive Stuart, C'dale SM700, Fisher AL-1, High Sierra, CrossRoads, BikeE, Hurricane, 2 Greenspeeds, TourEsay and a Raleigh Mixte.
And the 3 kids have another dozen of their own.
Which one do I ride the most?
The one with air in the tires!

'99 Diamondback Sorrento (my first "Real" bike, bought used from my LBS about a month ago after driving a dept. store bike into the dirt)

'98 Diamondback Outlook (Backup bike, purchased for next to nothing on Craigslist - WAS NEVER EVER RIDDEN IN 8 YEARS!)

I'm just getting back into bikes. The Sorrento is my commuter, grocery getter, get-me-to-friends'-houses bike and my weekend trail rider, I haven't put any serious time on
the Outlook yet, although I am taking it to work this morning just for something new.

Roadies:
Schwin Fastback Comp
Trek 1000

MTB
Giant Yukon

Hybrid/CX
Haro Alpha X-C

The Schwinn and Trek are new. The Giant is in great condition but I want to repaint it this winter. The Haro is functional and rough-looking but it has nostalgic value for me so I'm going to restore it.

Sure! This is a stock M5. Mine is soon going to have a carbon fiber boom and a carbon fiber tiller as well as the CF seat and rear quarter as you see in the photo. Note the "whale tail" brake levers! I will soon be adding a 64T front chainring as well on the original boom for racing. The titanium body will be anodized to a metallic copper color.

I have 3 FUJ's..... road, hybrid and MTB.

I feel the first 2 are the best, because MTB is only good off track,
and it's not that easy in a city to find good terrain.

1) '88 Centurion LeMans - Fixed commuter. Got it for free. Tied for my favorite ride
2) '05 Surly Steamroller - Got new for cheap. Also a commuter, and also tied for my favorite ride
3) '05 Electra Deluxe Relic - Used for my 2 mile ride to work. Sweet ride, has a springer fork.
4) '98 Coppi - My geared road bike, and my loaner bike to get friends riding
5) '02 (?) Scwhinn Moab 2 - Me mountain bike, and has taken a lot of abuse
6) '05 Vanilla - Has no real use and is for sale

I don't know what it is about that Centurion, but the geometry is so perfect for the riding I do, most of which is for commuting purposes these days. That bike and my Surly have been my favorite bikes that I wind up riding 90% of the time, if not more than that. Funny that my two cheapest bikes are my two favorite bikes also. I have a feeling that I will have those two bike far longer than any other bike I will ever own.

I know what you mean. My old Bianchi xcross is easily my favorite ride, which is why I found another old Bianchi frame to build up for my road bike.
