New Dude
Hi all! I've been surfing these threads for a while now, and I finally decided to get myself a name and join in.
I've been commuting to work by bike for about 3 years, but only about 3 or 4 times a week. I have a 7 month old little boy, and the new responsibilites that comes along with having a second child has kept me off the roads for long distance cycling. Also, I'm in a band now, and all my gigs are on the weekends. It would be kind of crappy to take off cycling when I'm already gone from my family due to work and my band. I may just be a commuter from now on.

My old bike is a hybrid with 28c tires on them. I put about 2200 miles on it in a year and a half. I need to buy a new rim for the back tire, and I want to put fenders on it. That way it can be my full time commuter. I'm much more comfortable on that bike anyway.
What I wanted to know is how to get started riding trails.
