Edge 305
I know there must be a ton of threads about the Garmin Edge 305, but I can't find them right now.
And since I don't have the patience to wait for Garmin Technical Support to respond, I'll ask this oh-so-technical question here:
How do I reset the distance and time counters on my Edge 305 to zero?
Thankssss

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!

You hold the "LAP" button down for 5 seconds. After about 2 seconds a prompt will appear on your screen saying you are about to reset your Garmin. Here is the trick - KEEP HOLDING THE LAP BUTTON DOWN for the additional 3 seconds. That will do the trick.
