ankle brace suggestions?
Hello!
Well...let me first say that I wear custom inserts for my feet because i tore the plantar-fascia in both feet about 6 months ago. Now i wear custom inserts in my shoes all the time. I was in a head on collision (friend was driving) a few weeks ago and i tweaked what feels like the achilles tendon in my left ankle. I was just wondering if you guys knew of any good ankle-straps or those type products, because right now it kind of tweaks my ankle when I unclip from my pedals, and i already loosened them. thanks

Did you get an all-clear from your physician regarding your Achilles injury? That isn't a part of your body that you want to mess around with. Yes, it usually takes a fair amount of force to rip one up. But if it's already injured, it might not take that much to tear it completely or injure it more significantly. And if you tear it completely, you're out of action for a good 9-12 months.

Actually it was my plantar-fasica that I had gotten micro-tears in. which runs from the ball of the foot to the heel, on the bottom of the foot. I've already been through numerous therapies and doctors for that one, thats why I had these custom inserts made for my shoes. But part that is hurting now is my left ankle, in the back of the ankle , I just wanted to try an ankle brace and see if it would relieve some of the 'quirky' pains.
