Oh dear, How sad,---

--- never mind !!! I got home from work yesterday morning & my wife informs me the computer went "bang " in- side > I wanted to fire it up again to see if it would work but she woulnt let me , luckily we have a pre-payed service contract but I dont think we`l see them till to morrow (monday) The bloke she spoke to thinks it might have been a power surge but we have a surge guard plug on the connection & it had`nt tripped & no other appliances seem to be affected , so I don`t know??
Im playing on the computer at work ,ok ,cos its Sunday But dayshift on weekdays will be different as you have to hack past their internal crap to get on the www & even then were blocked from e-mails but were working on it .
So until our machine is fixed my postings my be pretty spasmodic .Oh dear, how sad, never mind , they all said !!

Nothing worse than your computer going down. I go crazy when ours is in the shop for something. Amazing how we've all grown to be so attached to these things.

10 or 15 years ago a computer crash would be a minor inconvenience. Now it's almost the end of the world. "Hello - service department - what do you mean you can't be here in the next ten minutes. Don't you understand? My computer's stopped working."

If mine goes, I can use my son's. I also have a laptop I could use as well as computers at school.

I don't think I would like to do without!

Hang in there, greywolf!

HI, IM BACK , computer fixed today the wife needed the helmet to keep the inside of her head in after blowing her stack at the wankers who have the contract to repair & service the thing , 2weeks to source & fit a small part ,every day for the last week they`ve said "the part has been couriered today ,we`le be there to fix it tomorrow "
Never mind I,ve been able to do quite a bit of work on my rain/touring bike.

Welcome back!

I have 2 computers, so if one ever breaks down, I at least have backup, so no chance of withdrawals!
