Component Comparing

This is a newbie question,
What is good site to compare components of different bikes? I'm probably just going to go on price and review if there are any.

Bikes: 2016 RITCHEY BreakAway (full Chorus 11), 2005 Ritchey BreakAway (full Chorus 11, STOLEN), 2001 Gary Fisher Tassajara mountain bike (sold), 2004 Giant TRC 2 road bike (sold)

All of the manufacturers that I've seen have complete descriptions of all their models on their web sites. How you compare across manufactuers is up to you.

Don't worry about compnents. Any halfway decent bike will have decent components. Any good bike will have very good components. I worry about frames, wheels, that's about it.

Very good point. Doesn't matter how much you pay for a bike- If the frame is too heavy- doesn't handle or is just plain rubbish- Then the best components fitted to it are not worth a light.

I always look just under the reviews of bikes. Just because it has a poor rating because it has a bad set of Forks/brakes or wheels on it- What does it ride like? Components can be upgraded when they wear out. A Bad frame will require a new bike to improve.

What price range are you looking at? What type of riding do you plan on doing?
