Recomend HRM
I'm having a difficult time finding a new HRM that meets my combo of criteria. If anyone has a suggestion, I'd really appreciate it. In order of importanance:
I dont want to spend more than $150
I do interval training, so I need to watch time in 2 or more HR zones
I need to see calories
Basic cycle functions such as distance, speed, averages, etc
I have looked at a lot of models but get caught with one of these functions not listed. If need be, maybe for price info, I could keep my old HRM and just use it as a computer for the cylcle data I guess if the feature/price combo cant be met.
thanks and I look forward to sharing experiences here.

You can always get cycling computer and HR separately. You can get CateEye Astrale 8 for about thirty bucks. It has cadence, speed, etc. As for HRs look in to sport instrument ones. I have ECG3 (not made anymore) and found it to be reliable. It has three zones, calorie count (although most calorie counters on HRs are not all that accurate), and can store information about multiple work outs.

I think the Polar CS200cad will meet your requirements. I have used one for about a year... nice unit, no problems. The MSRP is $189.00 but you can find them for less. Performance has them for $149.00 now. I bought mine from a dealer on eBay for $129.00 There are two HERE for less than $140.00.

I have had several HRM's over the years and I have found that polar are the most reliable. May not be as easy to set up as others but they are reliable.
