LBSs in Australia
Cheers everyone,
At first I thought I would PM this directly to the Hairy IV Agnostic. But all input is appreciated, so here goes:
I'm visiting Australia in a couple of weeks. If you know an LBS in Brisbane or Sydney that you feel you could recommend, I'd be grateful for contact info (web site, street address, whatever). I am mostly interested in small items, such as the Minoura Space Saver, but could be persuaded into considering light systems etc. You all know how it is with shopping...
Feel free to answer here or PM me. Thanks in advance!

Oi! Tasmania is closer to Finland in climate and terrain. We can make Juha feel right at home!
In Sydney, my one dealing with Woolies Cycles in, I think, Oxford St, was excellent. Clarence St Cyclery is another option, but not as good as Woolies.

I know bugger all about Brisbane shops (and even less about Sydney), so it's probably just as well you posted it here. BTW, if you feel like a couple of rides around the Gold Coast, drop me a line (it's only an hour train ride from Brisbane, and the train carries bikes for free!). It's definitely worth the effort - everything from cruises alongside the blue South Pacific to 1,000 metre mountain climbs in the rainforest. There is not a riding taste that isn't catered for around here.

Thank you all. Chris, thanks for the offer, that would be great. But I will be travelling with 30 of my closest friends (it's a choir tour, and I am one of the tour managers), so it remains to be seen how many kms, if any, I can log in. This also limits my destinations somewhat. But I will most certainly not miss an opportunity to spend money on bike related stuff and then haul that stuff all the way home 'round the world.

We're a Finnish semi-professional chamber choir called Kampin Laulu. We will arrive in Brisbane on Tue 22nd July, we have a concert at the QBFM festival and a workshop with a local choir. Then we move on to Canberra, where we have a concert at the Finnish Embassy. From there we continue to Sydney, we have a couple of concerts there. Departure on Fri 1st August for the choir, I am going to stay for a few days more to recover.
If any of you have the chance and interest to come hear us, I will be glad to provide further details. Our schedule is pretty hectic until Sydney, but once we get there, short rides could be quite possible. It would be great to meet fellow Forum members in real life.
