Mr. Tuffy improvement

I have an idea how Mr. Tuffy can be made much better but I have been unable to find a viable email address for them. Their website just doesn't work. Do any of you have any knowledge of how to get in touch with the manufacturers of Mr. Tuffy?

Thanks, Flatman

I don't know anything about them. However, I'd be keen to hear about your idea - just in case any of us decide to make our own modifications after buying one of their liners.

Im sorry that the improvement to Mr Tuffy is more than a change in the use of the existing product. It requires a change at the manufacturing level....thats why I need to talk to them.

I believe Mr Tuffy's are made by Adventure Components, phone number for AC is 805-373-5211 (California) & email: techinfo@adventurecomponents.com

Tuffy liners are on all my bikes. They can be a pain sometimes and cause pinch flats but if you put them in just right, it will be a loooong time before you get a flat.

Steve, so how do you put them in "just right"?

When I was getting a lot of flats on my road bke, I tried them and had several flat where you could see where the edge of the Mr Tuffy and worn a groove even though I tried to be careful. Right now I switch to Armaillo tires which seem to be doing a good job, but maybe some time in the future I'll want to try the liners again and would appreciate any advice.

Thanks for the input. I'm in the desert where the weeds produce flat producing seed pods that go through tires and Tuffies like taffy. I have an idea though which I am trying to pass on to the Tuffy makers. I'll check with SpinSkins too.

Thanks people! flatman

Hmmmn..

I like the Specialized Armadillos. I haven't had a flat in a _long_ time with those tires.

Continental Touring have done a good job, too, on my touring rig.

I prefer the easier installation of the SpinSkin and the absence of flat-causing edges like Mr. Tuffy has. . . but unfortunately, the wet climate (I presume?) here deteriorates them rapidly. Mine fell to pieces within months - so I use Mr. Tuffy.
