Dangit!! Forgot my lock...

Rats!! I normally don't carry a lock since I park my bike in the staff room at work, and I always go straight home. I only bring the lock if I know I will be stopping somewhere. Well, today I have an appointment after work and guess what is unhelpfully sitting on the hall table at home...

I'm on my ancient and disreputable-looking Raleigh today and there's an out-of-sight spot for me to park the bike at my appointment, so the chances of anyone taking it are really slim, but I'm going to be all anxious about it the whole time I'm in there. I could park it in the lobby but that might be more obvious than around the corner on the porch. Rats, rats, rats!

Just needed to vent.

The irony in the situation is that the appointment is with a psychologist about my ADHD and inability to remember anything for longer than 7 seconds...

Woah, now that is ironic.

Well, my bike was still there when I came out, so all is well.

Of course, I'd also forgotten my chequebook (again). Sigh. Oh well, at least now I have a nice official report to show my doctor who thinks I was drug-seeking when I asked about something to help with the jumpiness and anxiety. And I can take the same report in to the admissions committe for grad school and say, "OK, please look at this at the same time as you are looking at my undergrad transcript which is a completely random collection of As, Cs, and Incomplete/Fail marks, because I really am not as crazy as all that, and now that I know what's going on I can do somehting about it, and pretty please may I come and do my Master's degree in counselling psychology here??"

One of the recommendations in the report was to exercise - wonder if I can get insurance to pay for my bikes!
