Waiting for darkness`

Greetings all. This message is just my way of killing time. You see, I bought a new light today and I'm waiting for it to get dark enough outside so I can try it out on my ride home from university. Not long now I don't think.

I'm waiting for Peter White to return my e-mail. I'm finally going to get a dynamo hub! Bye, bye batteries!

Chris,
I got 2 new Niterider lights and it was dark enough this morning so I could try them.
Aren't new "toys" fun?

Yeah! Got my shipment from Performance yesterday, a new Vistalight, this will make my commute a bit safer.

Plus an Alien...I won't have to lug around my odd mix of Allen wrenches on a long ride.

Okay, plus a new helmet that I have been drooling over...my 6 year old one with no vents was getting a bit heavy.

Hmmmm....I should seek a councilor for this.....at least I am not spending it on gasoline......

neguypdx,
Isn't it great getting a box full of bike stuff? Ripping off the tape, drooling over the new parts......aaaaaahh. I haven't ordered anything online in awhile. Maybe I'll do so just for the joy of getting something in the mail.

I got a box from Performance earlier this week. Among other things were two pairs of cycling shorts. They were the same size I ordered last time but were too big.
I guess cycling pays off in the weight loss department.
Isn't it a shame I'll have to return them for a smaller size. Just breaks my heart.

Fubar,
Don't try using your Mom's credit card.

Sorry neguypdx, my mom is really tight on money right now so I couldn't do that to her. Besides, she is buying me a rigid fork for my injured bike. I couldn't ask her for more, even if it was for a friend!

I just got that Niterider tail light after finding out that it's compatable with my NiteStick(Vista) system. Waaaay too expensive($59 for light only) but unbelievably bright, even in broad daylight.

Hey ChrisL i couldn't help thinking of a song by Depeche Mode called "Waiting for the Night" when I saw this thread. It's one of my favorites.

I got a Trek 2.4w Halogen job, which craps all over the one I had before. This one only takes about six hours to recharge (the other one took 15) so I can put in on when I got to bed at night.

Just got the Dual View in the mail today. Water bottle battery looks a little big and directions say it is best to recharge for 15 hours. Started to be irritated that it would take that long but, under normal circumstances I wouldn't need it any quicker than that anyway. I've got cold and don't feel up to riding. What a bummer...I wanna try out my new toy!!
