Rivendell's New Website
Much to my surprise, Rivendell has a new look to their website. I like the new look; it seems the boys in Walnut Creek have finally found a web guru that knows his/her stuff. My only complaint: Rivendell upped the price on their frames. Did anyone get a notice of the price changes? I was planning on buying an Atlantis frame, but decided to wait until they announced that the price would go up from $1400. I love the Atlantis; it is a great bike. I used to own one, and had planned to buy another. But, at $1500(new price) I am having a hard justifying the price.
Is it me, or is $1500 for a stock frame made overseas tipping the scales?

Prices of everything with metal as a component material is going up, not to mention energy costs involved in the manufacture and transportation of anything. I work in Architectural Metals and all of our sheet goods have had massive price increases in the past year. Stainless sheet has gone up almost double what it was a year ago with copper and aluminum not far behind. Add in freight fuel surcharges in the 7%-24% range and the picture gets even uglier.
