The Dream
I was riding to work this morning and passed a pedestrian with a dog walking on the footpath.
The dog wasn't leashed and came rushing toward me. I went past fairly quickly so there was no trouble. I just turned around and glared at the owner for a couple of seconds as if to say, "Don't you know what a leash is?"
The wierd thing was that I then remembered a dream. I don't know if I had the dream last night but it would have been within the last couple of nights.
The dream was that I was with few other cyclists and we passed passed a pedestrian with a dog walking on the footpath.
The dog wasn't leashed and came rushing toward us. We went past fairly quickly so there was no trouble. I just turned around and glared at the owner for a couple of seconds and said, "Don't you know what a leash is?"
In the dream the dog was brown, today's dog was black.
I have never had that situation happen before. I've had dogs chasing me and I've sometimes seen careless owners walking dogs without leads but they haven't chased me.
Strange stuff.

well acording to my dream interpretation skills. you are afraid of the daily routine (routine being the dog), you try to run but you can't. you keep on seing the dog. but the only way you can escape from "routine" is to cycle faster!

Rodney,
Its pretty clear from your description of both the
dream and the perceived reality (delusion?) that you
have a deep seated oedipal complex with significant
wolfman complex and underlying canine phobias
(5900.C40 DSM III with 520 axis 3).
If I recall correctly from university days, this would be
caused by your mother being run over by a dog while
she was walking home after seeing a "B" grade Lon Chaney
movie. Did I mention that she was most probably pregnant
with you at the time? that would be the most logical assumption
given the transplacental transferrence of fear and or anxiety
across the cereberal blood barrier (or is it the cortical blood
barrier?).
Either that is the root cause or the deja-vu like experience
was the matrix changing some part of itself and you should
look for cypher to try and sell out Morpheus.
Either way the prescribed cure would be long rides
with either a water bottle for defense against canine attacks
or massive work effort causing large quantities of endorphins
to be released into your bloodstream causing you to not really
care about dogs, or Oedipus.
Nemo and Morpheus are things we should all worry about.

In reality, you want to have sex with the dog!
How's that for a Freudian interpretation!?

Maybe he's stuck in the anal stage. Or his ego is supressing his id.
Ok, in order to find anything out for sure, like if you really are in the anal stage, MediaCreations, you must say the first thing that comes to mind. And then tell us about your childhood.
