Inspiration to ride again

Its the holidays and I've been lazy .. it's one party after another and the food is just amazing. How can I end this eating binge and jump back on the bike? I have a cyclops trainer and a beautiful bike just sitting in my living room in front of a 55" TV but still no inspirations. Help me

Bikes: See my sig...

Look at the eyes, not around the eyes, yes just the eyes and 1 2 3 you are under.

You want to ride your bike more than anything.

And 1 2 3...you're back in the room.

I have been riding regularly because I know how good I feel after a very few miles. Riding is the best part of the day. During last winter I sometimes rode at noon, sometimes late afternoon or evening. And, I frequently missed days when something got in the way. This year I awaken about 5 AM and am on the bike by about 5:30 AM for almost 15 miles. A key difference this year is that I have learned better how to keep my hands and feet warm during the coldest part of the day. Our coldest temperatures are also not as low this year as last year (yet). In recent days we have gotten our first enduring icy spots on the roads. I have not ridden during hours of darkness since, but I have ridden. I am also telling myself I may enjoy some holiday cookies and candy if I ride.

Get on your bike and stop yer whining.

I just get in a habit and do my best to stay in it. That and a growing gut reminds me to keep it up.

Oh and after reading https://arcticglass.blogspot.com/ I went out and purchased a mountain bike. Lucky me it snowed today allowing me to go play on the trails and streets. Dang snow riding is fun.

Depression... that's my inspiration.

I ride when I feel depressed and don't want to inflict it on those I live with.

This time of year I seem to spend more time outside than in though...

I just hopped on my Nashbar fluid trainer and rode for 30 minutes while watching my 1970s 18" TV. Maybe you need to downgrade.
