Not to mention that it costs $600, and what if my face doesn't look like that?

I'm at about 260 lbs and pedaling a cruiser-style bike around the neighborhood bike paths. I would love to have one of those time-trial Buck-Rogers looking helmets to wear while doing it. Have to get me some super-hero clothing to go with it, though.

I love it! Takes me back to the days of sensible advice like "Duck and Cover!" Truth be told, I think it looks better than some of these new, pointy-in-the-back things I see around. What's up with the pointy in the back? And, and those tights??

What I want to know is why cyclists' heads are so tiny. I have to wear a huge ski helmet year round because no bicycle helmets fit my cranium.

IMO, ALL bicycle helmets make the wearer look like "Buck Rodgers in the 25th century"
except the Bell Metro.

I think it's so cool. I'd wear it on the looks alone.

I'll bet a lot of people would think it's real dorky, so what does that say about me?

I was looking for out-of-the-ordinary helmets a while back. There are a bunch of cool motorcycle helmets available ("cool" being relative here), but they don't necessarily meet the motorcycle helmet standards. In other words, legally, they're hats.

Unfortunately, the only bike helmets I saw that weren't the same-ol-same-ol were the skateboaring/bmx helmets, when tend to not be ventilated as well.
