rebates
Well it looks like the rebates are coming in May.

Coincidentally, the typical amount will be $600 which is very close to what a good quality entry level bike goes for these days. Also coincidentally, the checks arrive in May which is right in the middle of the prime bike buying season.
What do you think? How many of these checks will be used for that purpose? My guess is less than 1% but hey, maybe you're more optimistic. Are any of you planning ahead for a new ride this spring?

There's a thread or two in Foo about this.
Me, I'll probably be stingy and spend it on the house (needs roof, and of course there's that pesky mortgage too). I'd love to get a new (or newer) bike, but like I said, I'm stingy.
