What Does Trek Own?

I just finished reading a thread that mentioned that Trek owns Gary Fischer. I also was told that Trek owns LeMond.

Could someone tell me the extent of Trek's ownership in bicycle companies?

Just interested.

Bikes: Felt F-70, Terry Madeleine, Novara Safari fully customized by me

I've heard rumors that they own Terry now. Anyone know if that is true?

I don't know if they own them, but they also make Lemond bikes.

"I heard that they just bought Cannondale as well."

I just called Cannondale directly. Trek does not own Cannondale.

I had heard this from a guy I ride with. Purely rumor...

Not bad doing for a ex South African. Trek stands for the Great Trek when farmers colonised great parts of South Africa. Very much like in America they also armed themselves with front loading muskets. Initially the Trek logo was two crossed muskets.

Interesting about Trek owner.
Not only did Boers colonise South Africa but made it up to East Africa. If i ride north to Kenya border I pass a monument
that no one can read anymore. Supposedly marking as far as they got in the voertrek and where they had a large settlement. They still tell stories about how tough they were.

We are pretty off topic but I want to know what a Whenwe is. We had a restaraunt for awhile called Whenwe.

Whenwe, an ex Rhodesian of British origin, left for other countries at end of colonial era (i.e. Great Britian left Rhodesia which became Zimbabwe).
The term comes from "when we lived in Rhodesia and . . ."
at least thats what Whenwe meant in South Africa.
