Mainly depends on my health. I usually get a sinus infection sometime between November and January. The cold windy weather (wind chill below zero F) really irritates my sinuses, and the infections are difficult to deal with, so at the first sign of sinus problems I'll lay off until February/March.

If my sinuses hold up, I'll ride unless it's icy.

My motivation this week has been very low so I gotta get myself jump started again. But I will ride all year weather permitting.

December 31st. Don't ask me what time yet! Either during the day with kids, as we could either do a bike tour or go tobogganing in the day, or at 23:59:59 if the night is clear.

When do I start? Usually January 1st at 0:00:01 (i.e. 1 second past midnight) if the night is clear.

Regards

My girlfriend has already started telling me that it's too icy on the road and that I should start taking the bus or driving to work.

If I can help it, I'll be riding straight through winter.

I just recently got a short term gig, so I actually have a commute for a while - Two days ago whwen I left my house it was 7 degrees F. I guess I'll stop riding when it's -20. (Note: I've never seen below -5 here).

I Live in South Florida.

The coldest it gets here is like mid 50s F.

I only take a few breaks from time to time but for the most part I only change my routine.

I ride softer during the weekdays in the "winter"... On the weekends I ride just the same as I do during other's "season" rides.
