Ok, so I had a small idea to get others cycling. When I go for a ride, I'd come back, type up the route and post it in the lounge at work for others to use. That way, they can either do it solo or group. My ultimate goal is to get a group of fellow noodlers like myself out doing some basic rides, no competition, no intimidation. The post would include road hazards (narrow roads, highway, etc) as well as turn by turn. I was out last Sunday and passed a bunch of roadies (who ALL waved or spoke, by golly!!) and only one other noodler like me. My thought is that if the plain folks can actually see somebody "regular" like themselves just enjoying a ride, it may encourage them to get out and have fun too. Why post it at work? Most people who are noodlers don't use Bikely.com or Bikejournal.com or even BikeForums.

that a really goog idea....if someone did that in my area i might try it out....you should do that for sure
