What are you getting for Christmas?

Well, no one else seems to be asking, so... what ARE you getting for Chrstmas, bikewise?

My wife got a rack for my Trek (soon-to-be-commuter) MTB, and a sharp red fleece jacket for me to wear while riding!

My early present to myself? Why, the Trek, of course!

I'm getting a new helmet to replace the one I crashed a little while back (Giro Pneumo in white), some Park cassette removal tools, lycra booties from Voler, a pair of DeFeet Team USA socks, and two lenses for my Oakley Pro-M Frames (one to replace the one I ruined in the crash a while back...). I'm also getting an Under Armour long sleeve shirt for lifting. And, I asked for Lance's, "Every Second Counts" and Bob Roll's, "Bobke"! It'll be a good Christmas!!!

I'm going to have to change my member name???

I got myself this for Christmas, a NOS 1998 Cannondale M500. I sneezed yesterday and the bike blew away!

I got this before I shopped for anyone else. I'm terrible this year!

I got myself a new bag : chrome metropolis. My poor old zo bag isn't showing any signs of wearing out, but I decided it'd be nice to have a few more pockets, and possibly a bag that was slightly less huge. I'm impressed by all the little improvements chrome's made on the basic design.

Also, a digital camera to put in said bag : canon a70.

Well. No exactly cycling related, but I'll be using it to improve my strength. The Mrs. got me a new Gold's Gym weight bench. It is a lot bigger and more stable than my old one. It will be a pleasure to lift on this bad boy.

Nothing cycling related this year. But a box is under the tree, which reads: Mallory dual point ignition for my '63 Jaguar XKE (which hasn't been on the road in two years for lack of a new ignition system). Too bad I can't fit a cycle rack on it.

My Santa hubby put a Trek 2300 on layaway for me, so it's part Christmas present, part NewYears present. Will get it out in a couple of weeks probably. I've been a very good lil' squirrel!

Kind of a quiet Christmas here.

I got two books, (Andy Pruitt's Medical Guide for Cyclists, and Optimal Muscle Performance and Recovery by Edmund Burke, Ph.D.), a pair of toe covers (I have shoe covers but most days my feet don't get cold, just my toes), a s/s royal blue jersey (to match the royal blue bibs I got last summer), bike tools, and $$$.

I got a Parks Chain Checker tool. A pretty nifty little gadget. It's not an essential tool, but it sure is a lot easier than measuring the links.
