According to the TV news, a nearby town (which I ride through frequently) is cracking down on cyclists who, for example, don't stop at stop signs.
I need to decide whether slowing down almost to a stop, is good enough to avoid a ticket, or whether I need to actually put my foot down. Experiences?

But given the fact that I'm very belligerent about exercising my right to the road, I also try to temper that by obeying the rules of the road.
Since I can't really do trackstands on my road bike, I unclip and put a foot down, If I were less well known locally for insisting on my right to the road I might slow to a walking pace and proceed if I had the ROW (which would be a more sensible rule for a cyclist to follow -- but that isn't the way the law's written).
