I find it interesting that at 48 years old I find yellow/black combinations on bikes and cars to be totally cool! Marketing people will tell you that yellow stimulates younger eyes (aged 12-34). My eyes are shot but all of a sudden I am ready to buy that C'dale R3000 Yellow/Black and a Ford Escape yellow SUV.

There's something wrong with me! Help! :D

I'm 47 years old and I love the the yellow/black combination. If there's something wrong with you then there's something wrong with me.

Beachwood Class of '73

Cannondale road tandem converted to Hybrid -HyperHighlite black/blue - (really beautiful)
Cannondale 66cm custom frame with 7sp DuraAce in black with slime green splatter
Cannondale 25" touring bike converted to Hybrid -metallic blue-(for pulling the trailer on the bike path)
I'm kind of a Cannondle fan, plus they used to have a phenominal employee purchase plan.

Uh-huh. If you say so, Wynn. ;) It's a shame they don't offer the Cannondale in brown and orange, though. :D

Here's the latest addition to the stable. It's a 2001 Fuji Ace that I built up frame the frame. I bought the frame from fellow BF member Bikedud. The bike is built with 8-speed Sora components and my step-daughter Steffanie rides it.

I've put 50 or 75 miles on it myself and it rides quite nice.

It's a Gary Fisher Fast City. Just got it this week.

Take care.

If no one laughs I'll tell you what I ride... a Next Breakpoint pro, The reason you never heard of it is because it is a $99.00 Wal-Mart Cheap-o-bike. I put IRC 80% 20%'s on it a decent computer, longer aluminum seatpost, head light, tail light, rear rack, rear view mirror, water bottle cage, more comfortable seat, SPD pedals and of course shoes to go with them. Suffice it to say , my deal of the century was no deal. I do ride it daily, and I plan on being the owner of a nice recumbent soon. Hey, you work with what you got. So far I hav over 335.00 miles on the odometer and I only started riding it seriously last month. I was spurred into action by a contest at 'bentrider online... The car free challenge has changed my life for the better. One day If it's God's will, I'll have a "Real" bike like Y'all! :D

there's nothing wrong with that, somebody might have the most expensive bike, be he/she doesn't ride it so what's the use....
:D :D

Jordan Thompson 07-14-03 09:43 PM

I use a cheap Wal-Mart bike also.

A Road Master. But it's nice enough for me.

I always wondered one thing though...

Why do they call it a Road Master, when my bike was built for OFFROAD!?
