You poor Southerners!
Just saw the pictures in the paper from the southeastern states, and from one who knows snow, you have my sympathies!
At least here we're geared up for cold and snow, even though sometimes we hate it, but I can imagine how it snarls things up for you guys once the novelty wears off.
Hope everything clears up soon for you soon!
I bet now you're wearing socks while riding!

But my daughter had a blast in the snow, as did countless other kids. (I made a few snowballs, which I made a lot more of as a kid in Rockville, Maryland.)

well...is was more snow than expected but not too bad. there were quote a few wrecks out there though.
ya wanna hear something funny? I commute by bike, my wife rides a scooter and we don't have a car. I work for a large distributor of autobody repair materials. Today we had the biggest sales day in six months! All those fender benders have my customers seeing $$.
I don't wish any misfortune on the drivers out there but somebody has to fix those dents. Is it bad karma that I don't like cars, yet selling products to fix them helps pay my bills?
hmmmmm

The odd thing is that we've so far had one of the mildest winter's on record, and hardly enough snow to ski on so far.
I could easily do without my shovels now, but somehow I think I might need one yet!

I went to work Thursday. Left the house 45 minutes later than usual and got to work 45 minutes late.
My company has about 30 employees and only 4 people showed up for work. I live 15 miles from work. Some of them live 3 or 4 miles and couldn't make it. They all got the "weenie award" on Friday.
What was surprising was the lack of SUVs on the road. I guess they really are just "trophies" and not for roughing it.
