Probably 95% of threads don't interest me. I don't click on them. And then there are the sub-forums that I literally never look at.

Informative and accurate thread titles are always helpful.

For me it helps to be a speed reader and I skip those forums I'm not interested in. For others it's because they are dedicated BF addicts who troll here 24/7/365 and never ride. For the rest, it's because they're lying when they say that that they read everything.

Bikes: Lots

I glance quickly over the subject lines ... hover my mouse over the few that look like they might be vaguely interesting ... read a small percentage of those ... and respond to a few of those.

I also have my BikeForums main page set up like this:
https://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=152
... so I only go into the forums that interest me. It's only when I'm bored that I'll venture into any of the others.

Pretty much ditto to Machka's answer. There are a couple of forums that I don't normally read (Road Racing, for example) and then in the busiest forum, the Road, there's only a few posts that I usually read, and that simplifies it a lot.

I seldom wade thru more than a couple of pages of posts. If a thread really interests me I will subscribe to it. I typically only "hang out" on 3-4 forums. I try to read it every day to stay at least semi current.

I usually ignore vague subject lines like "How do you keep up".

I have it whittled down to 3....The mechanics forum is my prime interest, then the "50+" (being of an age and all....) and then the "general"

I keep my mouth (and keyboard ) shut unless I feel I have something to contribute.

I don't. I quickly go to a BBQ forum. Then come back here.

Generally I only read a few different forums and only interestingly titled threads. Sometimes I get adventurous and click on random threads though. I thought this thread was going to be about keeping up in group rides or something.
