Candy vs Smarty
I'm considering putting Smarty pedals on my commuter bike. Since I'm semi-retired and only work a few half days each week (fewer with winter approaching), my commuting will be less than in the past and I'll be doing more daily rides (I hope
). So the Jamis may be my "new" winter bike.
I've been to a few bike shops to compare the pedals but no one has the Smarty. Two had the Candy and the Mallet and One had the Candy and the Acid. BTW: the Acid is no longer on Crank Brothers website. Has it been discontinued?
Anyway, does anyone have both the Candy and the Smarty so you can post some pedal dimensions (length, width, etc.)? The Candy seems a little small and the Acid may be bigger than I want.
Thanks.

I'd buy something other than the Smarty. I had one Smarty pedal fail within a few months of purchase. Check out the Smarty product reviews on MTBR.com and you'll see it rates poorly as compared to other Crank Bros pedals.
