Spinning class question

Hello,
Im not sure if I am posting correctly or even in the correct place, so forgive me if Im messing this up.

I was just wondering for those that go to spinning classes, what is your favorite type of music? I was at a class yesterday that had techno music. I have taken classes with classic rock, and some classical.

So I was just wondering, what is your favorite music in a spinning class?

Depends on the teacher. Best single spinning class I ever did used Latin music -- it was a 30 minute part of a three-hour marathon spinning afternoon and was truly awesome. Apart from that, I'd go for classic rock. Techno does NOT work for me.

TYPICALLY the instructor will supply the music and direct the class around there chosen tempos.

I've only been to a handful of spin classes, but I agree with the other posters. The music depends on the instructor to make it fun - having said that, just about any type of music is great for spinning. I prefer something recognizable or something that has a good beat!

Recognizable and a good beat is good ... a nice mix of genres ... perhaps a little bit heavy on the 1980s.
