While your doing all this looking around why not dust off the old too small MTB? So it's not cool or whatever it'll start getting you back to riding shape.

I think work is getting duller, maybe it's my age but I think we did more with less during the 60's and 70's BTW what do you do and how did you select it and can you find simething didderent?

I'd actually love to, but I broke it over the summer while trying to "work" on it. Cables were rusted out anyway.
Definitely time to buy a bike.

Neat oportunity to learn a bunch of stuff. Not only mechanical but about the relationship between you and the bike. You need to find some junk parts to try so you can get the stem too low then too high, ditto the seat,... You get my drift? Then when you do get a new bike it will be better fitted to you and you will have a beater to play in the snow with. Here in TW Va it doesn't snow much but when it does I have a lot of fun with it.

Hang in Anas* (sp?) I'm sure there is some bike rider in Ohio just looking for you.

Bikes: 2 road bikes (1vintage Terry) and a mountain bike.

Thanks for the encouraging words joeprim. When the touring club starts organized rides, I might just meet the man of my dreams - or maybe at the very least a date for Saturday night!
