Bikes: 1 trek, serotta, rih, de Reus, Pogliaghi and finally a Zieleman! and got a DeRosa

Well that will do wonders for improving cyclist/motorist relations.

There are days that I somewhat understand ,but do not condone.
A friend got hit in the back of the helmet with an open beer can..What is your limit.? Alan is a recovering alcoholic to add insult to injury.

I know what you are saying...

but I must say... A recovering Alcoholic getting hit with a beer can does have a humourous side to it :-)

When I was a kid I was riding my bike over to a girl's house. Some dude in a t-top transam pegged me upside the head with a slurpee. I was pissed then, but thinking back it had to be pretty funny to see.

Chris, I think the story a couple of weeks ago was when the guy got caught. Now he has been sentenced, how's that for swift justice. Sure wouldn't happen that fast here in the good ol' U S of A.

OK, so the guy is a bit of a wacko, but 16 months jail for a first offense of damaging property is way out of line. In the last few weeks I can think of 3 drivers in the UK convicted of dangerous driving, which resulting in killing 3 children and a police officer, and they were all fined, not jailed

I would say 16 months is somewhat reasonable for what he did. The people who killed others should have been put away for much, much longer.

Don't think I could flip out and slash someone's tires..However, often, glad don't have a 'dirt clod,' or something similiar in hand , while biking on the road...Times, I am tempted.

I agree on both counts. This clown should also be required to make restitution payments; he is no friend of cycling, or anyone else, for that matter.

Maybe a friend of the tire companies and tire repair places.

Nor would it happen out here. Somehow, I'm not sure it would have happened in the UK had the crime been anything other than damaging cars, but maybe I'm just cynical.

Im thinking he got a long sentence for what he ACTUALLY did. I could understand slashing the guys tires... but to slash 2000 of them??!! Im thinking this guy is wrapped just a weeeeee bit too tight. Ive been in a few close calls due to stupid drivers and now I carry 1 ball bearing the size of a marble just in case.
But one situation that I was in, it wouldnt have helped anyway.... it happened when this dink soaked me AT NIGHT, IN WINTER, AFTER A HUGE DOWNPOUR, COVERED WITH MUD AND WATER by some scumbag in a huge 4X4 who switched 2 lanes to do it. The wave of water actually knocked me off the bike. Since I was a ways from home I stopped into a Fred Meyer store to use their restroom. I got a quite a lot of funny looks. I looked in the mirror and couldnt help but to laugh. That POS got me good and Im sure they were laughing like crazy.
