Need 2nd opinion(s)
Bear with me, I hope this makes sense:
I want to repaint my bike - but leave the graphics on that say "FUJI"
I just want the flame/tribal silver graphics off the bike, which is the only reason I am repainting it.
MY PLAN:
I was considering covering the FUJI parts up with painters tape, then repainting the whole bike Burgundy (similar to the original color). That way the new paint would just say "FUJI" and not have the ******** silver tribal flame bro doggie graphics.
Think this would work?

Probably not workable to your satisfaction.
How are you going to cut your masking tape perfectly to cover the "Fuji" lettering? Once you do, you'll have to do some surface prep on the areas of the bike that you want to paint. Finally, it's hard to get a home paint job to rival the factory finish.

I Know the paint won't look like the factory job - I am ok with that. As far as covering the letters - I figured an Exacto knife + go slow.
Maybe it would be easier just to sell the frame and get something else...ha.
If only Fuji didn't add those horrid graphics. All the other Absolutes look great EXCEPT for the 2004.

That was my first thought, but I can't find any Fuji decals (this is where someone spends 5 seconds googling better than me and makes me look stupid)
Only thing I came up with was this sticker:
https://cgi.ebay.com/FUJI-BLACK-ROAD-...ts_Accessories
It might work, but it's kinda meh. Replacement decals would be great but I haven't found any so far.

You know what....I just found a web site that lets you design custom decals. I may be able to just make a few that say FUJI....hmmm...
