Some one has stuck a knife in it or something like that.!Any one know how to repair it,or would a puncture patch do the trick...?any advice most welcome.!

I don't know what sort of gel it is, could be silicon though.
The pouch it's in is likely to be polyurethane.
Chances of repairing it with a puncture patch is probably close to absolute zero....

If silicone gel is not sealed inside a air/waterproof container, it absorbs moisture (even atmospheric moisture if it's kept physically dry) and turns rock-hard. There's no practical way to get the moisture out once it's in.
