value of used Ultegra derailleurs and hub?
I'm wondering what you fine folks think the value of used Ultegra derailleurs and hub w/ cassette would be.
I've got a road bike and, like everyone else in the past five years, want to convert it to a fixed gear. But not because I want to be cool; I just don't want to spend the money to repair a tacoed rear wheel and figured I could get an even trade on the remaining road bike parts in exchange for a new-ish single-speed wheel. What do you think?
Can I realistically expect a good quality fixed wheel in exchange for used Ultegra derailleurs and hub and cassette?

You are ahead on this already plus you probably have shifters you won't need. Check ebay for used component values.

If the bike or rear wheel is fairly recent you could just re-rim it and possibly even re-use the same spokes.
Shouldn't be a costly repair and there isn't any risk of ending up with a single speed bike that you don't like/use.
