Bad knee question

Hi.

I have quite a bad knee, I have spent 2 weeks off and all pain eased, I've been taking Omega 3 oil, Glucosamine Sulphate, Multi Vitamins and also have glucosamex joint gel that I apply to my knee.

After doing allot of cycling I get abit of pain, but on the bike I dont really have any pain at all, I found this on tuesday when I did 66 miles.

Now normally after thinking this I'd go on some rides, but I am very worried I should not, apart from commuting, this is because as I'm sat here now, if I just move my right knee up and down and put my hand on my knee I feel large clicking, it feels like lots of clicks, or tearing? Obviously cant be tearing but thats what it feels like, I place my fingers at just above my knee and to my left.

Now I have not long ago been to the doctors about this and he arranged for an MR scan, now I did know about this clicking then but it was not as bad I dont think, I dont know how long it'll take to get an MR scan, havent heard back.

So what I want to ask is.

Would I be annoying the doctor if I booked and appointment again about the knee to see what he says again as it's quite worrying.
If I get no pain on the bike is it safe to go on club rides?

Thanks
Will.
