Small Milestones Thread.

No, it's not a big deal but I managed my 20mi ride up and over Golden Gate Bridge today without walking up any of the hills. That one coming from the east in to Ft. Mason especially is a bear!

What's your small milestone of the day?

Mine isn't bike related. I can't ride my bike for another day or so due to dentist orders. Yesterday I had 1 wisdom tooth yanked out, 2 old crowns removed, original tooth grinded and then two temporary crowns put on.

My milestone? Not so much pain today and no blood! Hence the no exercise rule from the dentist as exercise could unclot the bloodclot.

Ewww, and fun...NOT

Mine won't be till tomorrow and I have not been riding much recently. Tomorrow and my Son-in-law will be out with me and he has done even less riding than me. So tomorrows milestone will be to get the 30 mile ride done and not have the S.i.l. whinge at me for leaving him on the hills.

Survived a hilly 50 mile ride today. Max speed 44mph on one nice downhill. Min speed 4mph cranking up a long moderately steep but not godawful steep hill.

Other than stop signs and redlights no stops or breaks on today's ride. Never used the granny gear (close, but this is for *small* milestones) and added about 1.5mi to my usual route...

Fisrt ten mile ride on the road, on the MTB. Well, first since I was a kid any way. We rode ALL OVER in those days, places that I would later try to avoid driving to since they were "too far away"!

My next goal is to keep my cadence UP!
