Just curious... does the TDF generate extra bike sales?
I was at a Trek LBS on a Saturday in the middle of the TDF and they were crazy busy. I was there for about 15 minutes and I think they sold 4 bikes and had several others on test rides. It was a bit surprising due to the economy.

I think I got an email from Trek saying they were having a sale last weekend.

i think the economy plus the TdF (and the Trek sale) added a bounce...sure.

but is anyone already having TdF withdrawal symptoms?

My LBS said they get a road bike bounce after about half of the TDF. It might have been more if they could get a network to show it rather than one little station.

Trek also had a scratch and sniff promo last week for free gear ...

Well the Trek promo looked like a success. I wonder if other brands for the tour are doing as well? How's the old saying for cars go..."win on Sunday sell on Monday".

Versus is back to deer hunting and cage fighting...I'm having withdrawals.
