Your top speed today?

Today I only got upwards of 29km/h on a downhill, few days ago I got to around 41km/h (on a heavy ass hybrid.)

What is your top speed for today?

Oh
my
god!

I reached 42km/h going down Main street (all green lights!) probably could have gone faster but I tapped the rear brake. That's the fastest I've ever gone on my hybrid.

Later, a fat guy (maybe 20 years old) passed me and that triggered my inner roadie so I punched it, roared past him and I heard him behind me trying to catch up so I went even faster on the seawall which is flat...I reached 31.4km/h! Fastest I've ever gone sans downhill on my hybrid! Hahaha.

Probably seems slow to you road bike guys but I have two panniers, rear rack, fenders *AND* I have my tripod strapped to my rear rack. Not bad for a 35 year old chick.

I don't pay attention to top speed! I know a billion people that max out at 60 mph but finish a century hours behind me and my max speed of 25 mph!.

Bikes: Cross Check with Rohloff hub

Never had a bike computer! My bike looks cluttered enough with cables running from the hub dynamo to front & rear lights!

Yesterday, it was 35.1. Today, walking pace. May not get on the bike today.

30. something. Not sure where I hit that. My Average was about 4 miles per hour faster so far on the road bike

Can't wait to take it down the hill that I hit 31 on the MTB with.

Bikes: None yet - help!

25.77 mph on the Leelanau trail - the unpaved portion. Not too shabby for getting my bike on Thursday and not having biked in a REALLY long time.

Today, probably 20-ish on my commute to campus. That's typical on my daily rides.

Last week riding with my boss I hit 37.2 MPH doing an aero tuck on a nice section of hill north of town.

My all-time record is 38.something, going down a hill and pedaling like mad. I might be able to beat that if I swap out my gearing -- my smallest cog is 14 teeth.

umm, maybe 30mph? today was a flat ride in zone 2/ zone 3 (I tried to keep it in zone 2, but the last third of the ride I couldn't keep my heart rate down), but to get to the flats I have to go downhill (which means uphill the last 10mi coming home )
